This is my first blog on my new website so where to begin?
Well it’s been a time of new things for me having recently left my position as Creative Director of Photography after three years at one of New Zealand’s leading ad agencies. It is time for change, to pursue new directions with my work and my life. It has been a massive move stepping back into the uncertain world of freelancing, but Im feeling better than ever and really looking forward to what is ahead. Not just the freedom I now have to focus on new areas of my work but also the time I can now spend with family and friends. A couple of weeks ago my dad called to see if I wanted to go up in a plane for the day, not just any plane though. A Catalina to be exact, the flying boat! Wow this plane is amazing, first built in the mid thirties and the only one left in the country and one of a handful left in the world today. What a buzz….the roar of the two huge engines was crazy and the view we had from the big bubble like rear windows was just spectacular! It was awesome to say the least…
I got to spend this time with my dad, had an amazing day, and did something I will remember for a long time to come.
So I thought I would start by sharing a few pictures from the day, enjoy….
